In episode 542 of Soul Elevation, I’m joined by Karen Swain, the longtime host of Accentuate the Positive Media and a teacher of deliberate creation. Karen has a way of bringing guidance through in real time, and you can feel how our conversation moves beyond a typical interview into a living transmission of insight.
One of the most memorable moments was when Karen mentioned the appearance of off-planet lion beings, a type of contact she rarely experiences. It was a synchronistic thread through our whole exchange, especially when my cat made a rare cameo right as we were talking about lions! That lead me to me letting her into my recording studio, and she subsequently made a few appearances in the intro and outro of the episode. 😻

A core teaching Karen shares is that questions are not passive. Questions summon energy, information, and experience. When you ask from sincere curiosity, you open a pathway. When you ask from fear, you also open a pathway, but it tends to spiral toward distortion, confirmation, and contraction.
This is one of the simplest, most practical shifts you can make on the spiritual path. Instead of asking, for instance, “Why is the world getting worse?” try something like:

“What is this revealing?”

“What is being rebuilt?”

“What is my role in the shift?”
-
“How can I anchor peace, truth, and sovereignty in my own life today?”
Questions are like tuning forks that set a frequency. As such, your life responds.
Spiritual guidance as a stream, not a single being
Karen describes her guidance in a way many people find liberating. Rather than treating spirit guides as one separate entity with one fixed personality, she experiences guidance as a stream of consciousness, or a bandwidth of intelligence that can present itself in a form your human mind can relate to.
If you have ever felt frustrated trying to “meet your guide” or felt like nothing was happening, Karen suggests you have a different take on your experience. You may already be receiving guidance, but your mind might be labeling it as common sense, imagination, or inner dialogue. Karen points out something simple and profound: if we are talking to ourselves all day long, who are we actually talking to? Instead of trying to force something, we are invited to soften into receiving guidance.
We explored the intensity of division and polarization, and why it can feel so personal when someone believes differently than you do. One of the most important reminders in this episode is that people often make opposite choices for the same root reason: love, protection, and care. When we remember that, we are less likely to demonize each other.
Karen brings in a deliberate creation lens to deepen your spiritual work:

If a belief gives you peace, freedom, and expansion, it is aligned.

If a belief traps you in rage, fear, and helplessness, it is worth questioning.
The focus is on reclaiming your creative authority, while also being mindful about deluding ourselves and falling into bypassing reality.
Karen shares an analogy that is also completely relevant to her lived current reality: collective transformation is like renovating a house. Even a small renovation creates disruption - dust, noise, displaced routines, and unfinished spaces. It can feel chaotic, but the chaos is part of the rebuilding.
This helps reframe global intensity and personal upheaval, because disruption does not always mean something is failing. It can mean reality is rearranging and we are moving through a portal into a new experience. So, if you are feeling stretched, tired, or spiritually “worked,” you are not alone. You may be in the part of the process where things look messier before they become coherent. More in this clip:
Galactics!
We also explored the galactic aspect of Karen’s work and why she sees non-human intelligence as deeply relevant to Earth’s evolution. You know this is always a topic I am interested in exploring! Karen describes galactic beings as part of a larger family of consciousness. We are them and they are us.
Non human intelligence invites us to consider life as multidimensional, and that latent human capacities such as telepathy and expanded intuition are available to us. We can reclaim a deeper understanding of energy, information, and reality creation and experience life itself as conscious participants rather than conditioned reactors. This matters particularly for starseeds, lightworkers, and new world teachers who feel the inner pressure of mission, even if they cannot fully explain it.
As I mentioned at the start of this post, I particularly enjoyed the appearance of lion beings in our convo and the symbolism of lions across ancient traditions. Lions carry a frequency many humans naturally revere, such as strength, sovereignty, protection, and heart-led power. For many on the ascension path, this is part of the re-education of power.
